What is Balayage and Why Do We Love It?

Balayage IS THE HOTTEST NEW HAIR TREND

As opposed to standard highlighting methods that use foil or a cap, Balayage is strictly freehand where the color is painted on. You can amplify the hue to vary from a soft wash to bright and bold depending on your personal preference. When applying the color for a Balayage, you sweep the color through small triangle sections of the hair onto a board or foil, creating a natural transition down into the lighter color. In Balayage, there are dark pieces left on the bottom to create dimension and a more natural look. This technique looks like beautiful sun-kissed highlights throughout your hair. Outside of very short cropped hair, it can work on a variety of hair lengths, textures and colors, making it truly universal and flattering for ALL women. Most are drawn towards it because the maintenance level is relatively low; many are able to go four months between color treatments. Locks & Lashes Salon is now open for business

So, this is the beginning of a good thing. A lot of work but a good thing all the same. We've moved and in the process we're also making more changes. Lux Salon Studio will be changing to Locks & Lashes Salon. As we transition, I'll be posting pictures and more.
